Put on your skates (or those available for free on site) and take in the magical atmosphere of the skating trail on Quai Paquet (webpage available in French only), the longest refrigerated ice trail in Quebec! The trail lights up as soon as night falls, revealing a spectacular setting specially designed to showcase this emblematic site in Lévis. And this year, skaters will be charmed by the wood-burning fireplaces and background music, not to mention the rest areas where they can gaze at the view of Old Québec! It’s the perfect way to take a breath of fresh air!
End your day on a deliciously warm note by discovering local food and drinks! Located near Quai Paquet, Café Bonté Divine (website in French only) is the ideal place to sit back and revisit the day’s highlights with your loved ones. If you’re feeling bold, climb the red stairs or the Côte des Bûches (“log’s hill”) to get to Vieux-Lévis, the old part of town where newly opened Tambour Café and Bistro Bar La Barricade await. In the Lauzon neighbourhood, a visit to the Distillerie des Appalaches is a must to taste a vast selection of spirits and non-alcoholic beverages, including internationally acclaimed gins.
Lévis offers access to nature just a stone’s throw from the city! Popular in summer, Parc des Chutes-de-la-Chaudière transforms into a Nordic playground under the snow, offering a plethora of activities to enjoy as a family, including hiking and snow tubing. Another park, Parc Valéro Les Écarts, is a paradise for fatbike enthusiasts, with 4.3 km of trails to explore on two wheels. And at Parc de la Rivière-Etchemin, several trails cater to all sorts of winter activities, such as walking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fatbiking and tobogganing. The perfect day in Lévis’ great outdoors awaits!
The Centre de plein air de Lévis is the ideal place to learn skiing and snowboarding, with private, semi-private or group lessons are available for all ages. Equipment rental is also offered on site. At 30 metres high, the mountain boasts five trails of varying difficulty levels, a snow school, two glades and a snow park. There’s also a quad chair and a magic carpet going up the school slope. Don’t miss the resort’s chalet and cafeteria to warm up and grab a bite between runs!
