Watching whitecoats: a unique experience in the world!
Every year in early March, hundreds of thousands of harp seals give birth to their pups, called whitecoats, on the ice floes surrounding the Magdalen Islands. In a magnificent winter setting, the spectacular landscape of snow and ice comes alive with the presence of this huge herd. The calm of the ice floe and the silence of winter interrupted by the songs of these seals with their tender gaze is an increbibly moving sight!
Try the alpine luge!
Want to take on a challenge or try an original activity? Then you’ll want to try the alpine luge at Vallée du Parc in the Mauricie region- A 2.5 km trail has been specially designed for this activity, accessible to people as young as 10 years old. During the day or at night on the lit-up trail, you’ll get to go several times, so that you can achieve a certain level of technique and fully appreciate the activity. There are also options to try out this activity as part of a package deal. Please note that helmets are mandatory and that ski goggles are strongly recommended. It is necessary to make a reservation for the activity.
Imago Village: outdoor fun and gourmet food hand in hand
Directly accessible by car, ATV or snowmobile via the Trans-Quebec Trail #93, the Imago Village offers a breathtaking view of the Mont-Victor valley. Ten yurts are available onsite to accommodate outdoor and camping enthusiasts. A new restaurant is also now open: Café Giallo, serving breakfast pastries, sandwiches and gelato, not to mention good coffee to keep you going!
